Highlights for the Year 2013/2014

AUGUST 2013

National Level Scouts Day Celebration 2013
15 Rovers from the sixth form represented the state contingent at the National Level Scouts Day Celebration held in Putrajaya on 24th August 2013. They participated in various activities organized by the Scouts Movement of Malaysia.

Merdeka Day Parade
50 members of the 46th West Seremban Scout Troop SMK St Paul participated in the Merdeka Day Parade which was held at the MPS field on 31st August 2013. Our troop represented the state in the Boy Scouts category.

SEPTEMBER 2013

Rover Scouts Carnival 2013
Rover Scouts Carnival was held on 4th September 2013 at our school field. 17 SPI Rovers took part in the Station Games. The Rovers were divided into 4 teams and Team A emerged as the champion.

OCTOBER 2013

Spring Cleaning of Scout Den
Form 3 Scout members took the initiative to spring clean the scouts den after their PMR examination. 45 members participated in this post-PMR activity organized by the school counseling unit.

NOVEMBER 2013

Johor International Jamboree 2013
A total of 31 members and 2 teachers represented the Negeri Sembilan State Contingent in the Johor International Jamboree 2013 held in Hutan Bandar Kulaijaya, Johor from the 16th to 21st November 2013. 9 members managed to obtain the gold award.

JANUARY 2014

Annual General Meeting
The new committee took over from the previous board. Members were introduced to the new committee.

Orientation Programme
The troop held a recruitment drive on 7th January 2014 to attract Form 1 students to join the scout movement. They displayed impressive model campsites, exhibitions, rope challenge and scouting games, and allowed them to tour the campsite.

February 2014

Founder’s Day / Thinking Day
On 22nd February 2014, a special combined celebration with the Rangers was held to commemorate the birth of Scout Leader, Lord Robert Stevenson Smith Baden Powell. Various activities were conducted such as flag ceremony, exhibition, cake cutting by the school administration, performances and games. All members were given a rare opportunity to express their future hopes and dreams for the Scouting Movement.

March 2014

King Scout Standardization Camp Series 2014
2 members represented our school in this camp which was held on 21st to 23rd March 2014 in the Labu Campsite to obtain the prestigious King’s Scout Award. A total of 4 King’s Scouts were produced in the year 2013.

April 2014

1 Malaysia Integration Camp for Secondary School Students 2014
2 members participated in the 1 Malaysia Integration Camp for Secondary School Students 2014 which was held on 21st to 24th April 2014. This camp was conducted in Hassan Basir Pusako Camp, Kg. Sg. Jelutong, Batu Kikir, Negeri Sembilan.

Patrol Leaders Camp - State Level 2014
A total of 7 members from the junior troop participated in this camp at the State Scouts Campsite in Bukit Putus, Negeri Sembilan from the 18th to 20th of April 2014. Many activities were carried out to build up their leadership skills as well as to enhance their knowledge on Scouting.

West Seremban District Level Scouts Skills Badge Camp 2014
3 members from the senior troop were chosen to take part in this camp which was held from 25th till 27th April 2014 at the West Seremban Scouts Campsite in Labu Hilir, Negeri Smebilan. Their Scouting knowledge was tested throughout the whole camp.

May 2014

SPI Scout Troop Annual Camp 2014
During the semester holidays, the troop organized a 4 day-3 night camp in school from 27th to 30th May 2014. The 90 participants enjoyed the camp which included activities such as “Commando Training”, “Backwoodsmen cooking”, 6 km Hike, Campfire Night, Station Games and the highlight of the camp, the “The Ironman Challenge”.

June 2014

Terengganu International Jamboree 2014
13 Rovers from form six represented our school to participate in this camp from 1st to 6th June 2014 at the Telaga Batin Campsite, Seberang Takir, Terengganu.

Sports Day Inter-Uniform Units March-Pass Competition 2014
33 members took part in a march-pass competition during the annual Sports Day on the 27th June 2014. Our contingent emerged as the champion for the event.
