The Annual General Meeting was held early in 2017 and new committee members were elected by teacher advisors of the Ping Pong club. Training sessions were carried out every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the foyer, throughout the year.

Eight members of the club represented SPI in the MSSD competition on 24 January 2017 at SMJK Chan Wa . The members who participated in the competition were:

The Ping Pong Club organised a competition for all the students on the 10th, 11th and 13th of April 2017.
SPI - OPA Games 2017 for Ping Pong was held on the 5th of August 2017. Eight of the Ping Pong club members participated in this event. SPI team defeated the OPA team by 3-2.
