CHINESE LANGUAGE SOCIETY YEAR 2017
Throughout 2017, the Chinese Language society carried out many activities successfully. The activities that were carried out every alternate Wednesday meetings were:
11/01/2017 - Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect a new committee.
12/01/2017 - A calligraphy competition was organized in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.
08/02/2017 - School level Chinese New Year celebrations.
25/01/2017 -The Chinese Riddles competition was held.
11/2/2017 -Students participated in the state-level calligraphy competition at SMJK Chan Wa, Seremban.
15/2/2017 -The Chinese Idioms competition was held.
01/03/2017 -Members were taught the art of a Chinese tea ceremony.
15/03/2017 -8 students were involved in the school-level Parliament Chinese Debate Competition and the best was chosen to represent the school at district-level.
-Chinese paper-cutting competition.
23/03/2017 -Members were taught the art of a Chinese tea ceremony.
28/3/2017 -The Chinese Language Department of SMK St. Paul organized the Seremban 1 district-level Parliament Debate. (4 schools were involved: SMK St. Paul, SMK Bukit Kepayang, SMK Dato’ Mohd Said Nilai and SMJK Chan Wa).
30/3/2017 -Students participated in the district-level Chinese Language Carnival at SMJK Chan Wa, Seremban.
19/04/2017-The Traditional “Blowing Plum Blossom” Competition was held.
26/4/2017-Students participated in the state-level Chinese Language Carnival at SMK Seremban Jaya, Seremban.
19/6/2017--Students participated in the district-level Xiang Qi Chinese Chess Competition
20/6/2017 at SMKA Sheikh Haji Mohd Said, Seremban.
21/06/2017- A Recycling Campaign was held and the Chinese Society was the 3rd runner up.
-Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect the new committee for Lower 6.
12/07/2017-A proverbs competition was held.
22/07/2017 - Community service was carried out successfully.
The committee members hope that the upcoming committee will carry out their responsibilities to ensure that the Chinese Language Society will continue to be an active society. The committee members also greatly appreciate the guidance and support given by the teacher advisors and the spirit of comradeship amongst members.
