Bestari Brigade is an integrated system of Information Technology education that takes pride in including knowledge by experience. Throughout the year 2017, the committee successfully carried out all the activities as planned. The Annual General Meeting was held on 11th January 2017 at the SPI Computer Lab. New committee members were elected and the members listed some activities to be carried out throughout the year.
Activities carried out throughout the year include the following:

1. Members of the club were taught how to troubleshoot and fix simple technical problems in the computer. Mr Sella taught the members how to solve most of the problems that they may face while using the computer and also to assist their subject teachers.

2. Blogspot. Members were taught how to create and design a blog based on a given topic, Modern Gadgets. A competition was held among members and they were required to present their blog to the rest of the members. Members were in groups of three.

3. Online ICT Quiz. Members were tested on their general knowledge on ICT. Pn Maizatul shared her knowledge and conducted the quiz. All members learnt about the new online quiz site. It was a fun and exciting activity as the members requested for a second round.

4. 9Gag Competition. Members were put into group of three and were asked to create a meme. The meme should be appropriate and funny. The well known meme generator, 9Gag was used by all students to create their respective meme. Winners of this competition were chosen based on the number of votes they received for the funniest meme.

5. In the month of July, our club in collaboration with the School Resource Centre carried out the PSS & ICT Week successfully. It was officiated by Mr Lee Boon Seng, the principal of SPI. Various activities were held throughout the week such as Photo Editing Competition, Online Quiz, Frogplay Competition, Assembly Quiz and Treasure Hunt. Attractive prizes were given to winners of each competition.

All members showed full commitment and were actively involved in all the activities that were carried throughout the year. The teacher advisors and committee members hope that the incoming committee will continue to be more active in the following years. Lastly, the committee would like to thank the teacher advisors for their guidance.
