The Paulian Music Society comprises 19 active members for the year 2016. Throughout the year 2016, activities were carried out under the guidance of our teacher advisers. The Annual General Meeting was held in January to elect the new committee for the term 2016.

We are happy to have new members and committee members and we hope that these new members will be able to show their talents to uphold the name of St. Paul’s. The objective of the society is to share a common interest and share the knowledge of their talents in music.

The Music Society had carried out many performances for all occasions in SMK St. Paul. They include violin presentations, songs and dances for the school “Academic Excellence Awards 2016”, Teacher’s Day celebrations and Chinese New Year celebrations. Besides that, members also took part in the District- level “Pesta Muzik” competition which was held in the month of March. They participated in the solo singing competition.

The club members entertained the school teachers and students through their patriotic songs during the month of August. “ Singing and Instrument Competition “ was held on 3 August 2016 among the Music Club members to bring out their talent and special capabilities in handling musical instruments.

Achievement: Euroasia Strings Competition (International) - John Goh Wen Chih (Open Category and Young Artiste Category) - Gold Prize Winner.
He was selected as the principal chair of the cello section under the MPYO (Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra). They have performances during the school holidays.
