Paulian Catholic Community is a faith community of teens committed to living their Catholic faith. Its aim is to foster spiritual growth and development amongst members, while providing spiritual and social support for young Catholic students striving to live the Gospel.
Morning Prayers are held daily from 7.10 till 7.20 in the prayer room. Rosary recitation, gospel reading as well as praise and worship sessions are held during the Morning Prayers. It is well-attended by the Catholic students.
Paulian Catholic Community had its first meeting on 13 January 2016 to select the new office bearers for the year 2016. In conjunction with the Feast of St Paul, a mass was celebrated in school by Fr Adrian Mathews on 22 January 2016.
During co-curricular activities on Wednesday, members participated in Bible Sharing, Praise and Worship Sessions and other activities to promote understanding of the Catholic Faith. During Lent season, The Station of the Cross was conducted on Fridays. The members also participated in a Futsal Competition with the Pre-University students to foster sportsmanship among the Paulian community. Some of the members also participated in the National Level Bible Knowledge Postal Quiz in April 2016 and Ezra Hular received the Highly Commended certificate. Six members also attended the yearly Lasallian Encounter at The La Salle Centre in Ipoh from the 30 May to 2 June 2016.
In conjunction with Founder’s Day, the society organized “The Lasallian Reflection Day” on 1 July 2016 and it was attended by the past and present Paulians. Mr James Lee gave a talk on “What It Means To Be A Lasallian Today”. It was followed by the blessing of the statue of St John Baptist De La Salle by His Grace Archbishop Julian Leow. The session concluded with a thanksgiving mass celebrated by His Grace Archbishop Julian Leow, Fr Christoper Lee and Fr Lawrence Ng and a fellowship for all guests. The committee wishes to thank all members for their support and commitment in ensuring the success of all our activities.
