The Paulian Music Society comprises 29 active members for the year 2015. Throughout the year 2015, activities were carried out under the guidance of our teacher advisers. The Annual General Meeting was held in January to elect the new committee board for the term 2015.
We are happy to have new members and committee members and we hope that these new members will be able to show their talents to uphold the name of St. Paul’s. The objective of the society is to share a common interest and share the knowledge of their talents in music.
The Music Society had carried out many performances for all occasions in SMK St. Paul. They include “Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang 2015” and the Teacher’s Day celebrations. Besides that, members also took part in the District- level “ Pesta Music Competition” which was held in the month of April. They participated in the solo singing competitions.
This year we had our meetings in the school hall every alternate Wednesday from 7.35 - 8.45 a.m. During this period of time, students were able to practice their instruments like the guitar, violin, piano and drums. The members enjoyed the vocal practices too. On 25th of February, the school had its Chinese New Year celebrations. There were many other presentations by the Music Society throughout the year such as violin presentation and dances. The club members entertained the school teachers and students through their patriotic songs during the month of August. “ Gala Muzik SPI Competition “ was held on 1 July 2015 amongst the Music Club members to bring out their talent and special capabilities in handling the musical instruments.
