The Annual General Meeting for the term 2015 was held on the 12th of January. We had meetings on alternate Wednesdays from 7.35 am to 8.45am. Thevaram, mantras, bhajans and the significance of festivals as well as meanings of rituals were taught. Other activities included, ‘Thevaram ’ competition, bhajan singing competition and quizzes.
Ponggal was celebrated on a large scale by collaborating with the Tamil Language Society and non-members on 23rd February. Ponggal cooking competition, pot-breaking competition, ‘ Kabadi ’ matches, ‘ Kolam ’ drawing competition and a talent quest were held. There was a large turn out at the celebration.
The next main event was the " Self-Development Camp " which was held at Green View Farm Resort , Broga Semenyih. This camp was held from 8th to 10th May 2015. Many interesting activities such as ice-breaking activities, forum, talent quest , treasure hunt etc were conducted. Mind-blowing talks were also given by the chief co-ordinator of the programme Dr.Elango Periasamy and Mr.Chander Vengadasalam from IPG Kampus Pendidikan Teknik .
Special prayers for students taking public exams were held at the Lobak Balathandayutabani temple on 2nd October 2015. The Hindu Club would like to thank the school administrators,our teacher advisors, parents, students and all the teachers of SPI for their financial and moral support.
