Throughout the year 2015, the committee successfully carried out all the activities as planned. The annual general meeting was held on 21 January 2015 at the Computer Lab. New committee members were elected and the members listed some activities to be carried out throughout the year.
Activities carried out throughout the year:
1. Members of the club were introduced to building a PC, how to dismantle and reconstruct a PC with the lowest cost possible. Members learnt about the use of the PC components and why such devices were necessary for the PC to work.
2. Blog Spots: Members were taught how to create and design a Blog based on the members’ interest. A competition on creating a Blog was held among the club members. Members were taught how to create a blog, based on the famous Blog site which is Blogger.
3. Photoshop: Members were introduced to Photoshop so that they could take part in the photo editing competition . Students were instructed to get the pictures from the ‘Briged Bestari’ Blog. They managed to show their knowledge and skills by editing the photos creatively .
4. Power Point Presentation: Members came out with a power point presentation which was done in pairs. Members were able to incorporate all the features of the software. The content of the Power Point Presentation consisted of information regarding the current technologies. In this way, the members were updated with more knowledge in ICT.
5. In March, our club together with the School Resource Center carried out the ICT Week successfully. Activities held during this week were selling of computer accessories such as pen drives, mouse, wireless adapters, headphones, etc. A Photo Editing Competition and Computer Skill Test were also held. The most interesting activity was the Treasure Hunt, which was carried out in groups and students had to answer online questions and interactive activities.
Members showed full commitment in all the activities carried out throughout the year. Attractive prizes were also given to the top 3 of every competition. The teacher advisors and community members hope that the incoming new members will be more active and take part in all the club activities. Lastly, the committee would like to thank the teacher advisors for their guidance.
