The SPI Hockey club had started their training sessions in the month of January. Training was three times a week. Training sessions for the afternoon boys were scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning at the school field, whereas for the morning students, hockey trainings were held at the Seremban 2 Hockey Stadium (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Training on Saturdays is for everyone (S2 hockey Stadium). Intensive trainings and friendly matches with other teams are also held occasionally throughout the year.
In the month of February, the ‘Under - 16 ‘Six - a - side’ tournament was held. SPI A managed to obtain 2nd placing and SPI B managed 4th placing out of 36 teams. The Under -18 boys took part in the MSSMNS tournament. The U-18 boys emerged as the ‘Seremban Utara’ champions. In addition to that 15 of our Paulians were selected to represent the ‘Seremban Utara’ district for the Under -18 team and have managed to win the bronze medal. Three of our Paulian players were selected to represent the Negeri Sembilan team for the national level ‘1 MAS’ 2012 (Under 16). They won the bronze medal. Mr Subramaniam was appointed as one of the coaches for the U16 ‘1MAS’ state team.
Besides this, our hockey players also took part in the Under 18 NSHA tournamant ( 4th Placing) Nineteen of our Paulians players represented the OPA for the NSHA tournament and won the 2012 Division Two Championships. Apart from taking part in the MSSMNS tournament, the school team also participated in the following tournaments :-
-NSHA ‘six - a - side’ ( U14 )
-NSHA ‘six - a - side’ ( U16 ) - SPI A - Runners Up, SPI B - 4th placing
-Negeri Sembilan under 18 League ( 4th Placing )
-Negeri Sembilan League ( Division 2 Champion)
-‘1Mas’ National’ Competition (Ipoh) - 3rd placing
-Annual Sports Carnival - SPI vs OPA
