The Annual General Meeting for the year 2014 was held on 22nd January. Meetings were held every alternate Wednesdays
from 7.35 am - 8.45 am. Thevaram, mantras, bhajans and the significance of festivals as well as meanings of rituals were taught .
Other activities were held such as Treasure Hunt and quizzes.
• Ponggal was celebrated on a large scale by collaborating with the Tamil Language Society and non-members on the 8th
February 2014 . Activities such as Ponggal Cooking Competition, Pot-Breaking Competition, Kabadi matches, Kolam
Drawing Competition, Sugar Cane Eating Competition and a Talent Quest were held.
• Other than that, we had a Yoga Camp on the 21st March 2014 - 23rd March 2014 at Swami Sivananda Memorial Centre,
Bandar Seremban Selatan, Senawang. More than 20 students took part in this camp. The theme of this camp was ‘An Eye
To Truth’. Bhajan, mantras, motivation sessions, and also a workshop on the MH 370 tragedy were carried out.
• The next main event was the ‘Self Development Camp‘ which was held at Sivananda Hall, Bandar Seremban Selatan,
Seremban from the 18th - 20th July 2014. This camp was conducted by 5 lecturers.Many interesting activities such as Ice-
breaking activities, Soul-Searching and Self-Realisation activities were conducted by them.
• A special prayer for the students taking public exams was held at the Lobak Balathandayuthabani Temple. The Hindu Club
would like to thank the administrators, our teacher advisors, parents, students and all the teachers of SPI for their financial
and moral support.
