Throughout the term 2013/2014, the committee successfully carried out many activities. Various activities were also carried out
during meetings which were held on alternate Wednesdays of the month. Activities carried out were as follows:
July 2013 - Lower Six Committee Election.
August 2013 - Annual Chinese Chess Competition was held.
Oct 2013 - A farewell ceremony was held for the 2013 committee.
21/01/2014 - A calligraphy competition was organized in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.
22/01/2014 - The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held and new member’s registration.
05/02/2014 - Members were taught how to make traditional craft for Chinese New Year decorations.
12/02/2014 - A Chinese New Year presentation was carried out during the Chinese New Year celebrations in school.
25/06/2014 - Registration of new members from Lower Sixes.
23,25/07/2014
& 7/8/2014- A Chinese Chess Competition was held at the School Library organized by the
Lower Six Committee.
Others activities that were carried out during meetings were:
- Chinese Chess game among members.
- Charades.
- Newspaper cutting according to the theme given (current issue).
- Riddle on proverbs to encourage members of the Chinese Society to use Chinese proverbs in their daily lives.
The committee members hope that the incoming committee will carry out their responsibilities to ensure that the Chinese Language
Society will be an active society. The committee members also greatly appreciate the guidance and support given by the teacher
advisers and the spirit of comradeship amongst members.
