The SPI CHESS CLUB consists of 35 members from lower secondary and upper secondary. In the year 2014, the club has achieved enormous success in many tournaments ranging from district, state, national and last but not least international level, too.

1School level chess tournamentApproximately 40 participants took part in the under 15 category and 30 participants in the Under 18 category. The first 4 winners from each category represented the school in the district level

2District Level Chess Tournament
(MSSD)8 SPI representatives took part in the district level ( Seremban 1) Chess Tournament.
ST PAUL‘s boys won 7 prizes - 3 for under 15 and 4 for under 18. This made the "Paulians" shine in the tournament .

RESULTS
a. UMISH SUKUMARAN from the under 18 team emerged as overall champion for Seremban 1.
b.The whole under 18 team qualified for state level.

4Parkson Parade State Level Chess Tournament60 students from the SPI Chess club took part and obtained top ten places. Parkson Parade Seremban.40 participants from Chess Club took part and 10 of them won medals . The rest obtained certificates of participation
The Chess Club has also achieved its goal by ensuring the members obtained certificate of participation or achievement in order to make them eligible for an ‘ A’ for their year-end co- curricular assessment.
